Key Challenge

Matching century-old historic brick color palettes and lime mortar ratios in a strict conservation area.

UCG Solution

Hand-selected reclaimed London Stock bricks, traditional lime mortar pointing, and seamless integration of modern perimeter security lighting.

Project Overview

UCG was engaged to demolish unstable, deteriorating brick walls and design-build a high-security, heritage-compliant perimeter wall and resin driveway for a high-value home in Kensington.

Masonry & Craftsmanship

Using hand-selected reclaimed London Stock bricks and traditional hydraulic lime mortar, our bricklayers recreated historic decorative Flemish bond patterning topped with custom Portland stone copings. The entrance featured automated sliding wrought-iron gates with hidden underground hydraulic rams.

Landscaping Finish

The driveway was regraded and paved with a durable, permeable UV-stable resin-bound aggregate finish bordered by granite setts and low-voltage architectural accent lighting.
